  1. Hey all. I have experience playing fighter games; however, this is the first noncapcom one that I have gotten interested in learning. There isn't much competition locally and my transportation is limited, so I will primarily be playing online except when I travel to attend a tourney. With that said, I want to learn a character which can be played mostly the same both online (I have a fairly good connection) and offline. I don't want to come to rely on things which can be made safe by lag or be unable to practice others because of it. Right now I have been working on Lambda and Tsubaki, are either of these good choices given my circumstances?

right now since ur still new to game i cant pick a character for since i dont know what play style u perfer but if u wanna get good at this game just find a character that u like learn the basics and from then develop ur strategy practice makes perfect

  2. Hey guys, I just got started using Jin a couple of days ago. I'm normally a Ragna main but I'm aiming to get Jin's unlimited form in score attack. I kind of went headfirst but it seemed fairly easy to pick up.

The main problem I have I found when fighting unlimited hakumen. The combos I use seem to be easily countered by his instant guard attacks, which he immediately follows up after and knocks off half, a third, or the rest of my health.

In any case I need some tips on making combos that don't have any opportunities for the opponent to break out off. I tend to use the B and C Ice Cars during my combos and I tend to use them to get close at some points.

The combo strings I can remember using fairly often are:

5C>2D>d.c.?>6C>d.c.>5C>j.B.>j.C>j.B.>j.C. (I usually can't hit anything after that.)

(There's usually a random bunch of stuff I do before this combo to try and break the opponent's guard) 3C>214B

On Unlimited Hakumen I sometimes follow up with some string of 5A, 2A, 2B, and end it with a 623A.

I'm still a noob myself but I do do I similar combo like that. Its important to note that when go to start jins air combo u have to hjc ie:5b>5c>6>66>5c>hjc>j.b>j.2c>9>j.b>j.2c>2d>214c or 214d

    Hope this helps

  3. Hm I remember asking in the hazama thread about playing a style that sounds like what but they said that he wasn't effective in that area. But if he is than I may have just found my main.

I'm pretty much all about tricks and punishments so I've been having a hard time finding character who I can develop that with.

Well I'm still pretty much a noob and I'm using jin to learn the system until I find my true character, but in the tricks department thers a character that comes to mind if u don't mind tier list:

Arakune has a lot of setups but u have to work for it

    Maybe Rachel

    :LI: but good luck

But I would stick with hakumen he's a lot harder to master but its worth it

  4. I absolutely agree with zomby its gonna be really hard to adapt to situations with hazama being that he has to wait to get openings. Its best to find a character u like whose learning curve isn't so damning. But if u still want to the best advice I can give(even though I'm still kinda a noob) watch videos and players different stratiges and try to develop your own, and practice!
