Also she has a staff, remember guys? She can totally go toe to toe, it'd be nice to see Aeirth getting the spotlight she deserves, and she'd be like a better Shanotto.

Remember that the main purpose of Dissidia is fanservice. If you can't make stuff the character with references to the top, you better leave it for later. Aeris is pretty much perfect as an assist character, since she's not supposed to fight on equal terms with such ridiculous badasses like Garland or Firion. As an assist character, she does what she does best - supports, and you don't even have to come up with some ridiculous attacks for her.

Oh, and she does have a HP attack that's not based on her Limits: Holy.

Well yea, if you read my other posts that was what I was saying (and in that post as well) but since we can, why not talk about how they could make her playable even if it'll never happen lol. It's just that if they really wanted to I personally wouldn't mind. I know she's pretty much the perfect fit for an assist character.

I dunno if Holy counts considering it didn't exactly work in FF7 lol.

For those that understand, apparently it takes anywhere from 40mins~1hr 40mins (100mins) to install the data for 012! That is the longest I've seen for a PSP game, judging by the original I know it'll be worth it but man ~ .~ Wish we knew the maximum data size...

Oh and I'm not done debating about Aerith's validity as a fighter! I'm just tired right now, I'll respond to it in the morning = w=

All the accomplishments in Prologus are about playing Arcade mode with every character. You get an achievement for every 5 battles you manage to fight with each character (including Normal Mode). The awards you get are all Chocobo Cologne, which are basically Rare Candies (can be traded for 1 level for any character). There is also an achievement for playing Story Mode, and I guess that the award that you get for it will be traded for Aeris assist.

Exactly, this is a game of fanservice and what bigger show of that then having a living PLAYABLE Aerith!? The dream match of the century, Aerith vs Sephiroth, VENGEANCE! Also saying she lacks the "badassness" to compete with Garland and Firion, then by that logic no mage character should be in this game, especially Shanotto, Tina, and Yuna. Speaking of Yuna is the perfect example of WHY Aerith could be playable, she arguably has no way of attacking, realistically her Aeons should've taken her place and removed Yuna from play, but instead Square found a great way to make it work without such drastic alterations and Yuna is actually a really aggressive character that doesn't play like any of the other mages.

Not trying to start anything, it's just very disheartening to see so many resources essentially going to waste. A character's fighting ability (or lack of) should never be a determining factor especially when we've seen so many examples (both good and joke worthy) of characters ascending the norm.

and there are three data install options (491MB, 570MB and 810MB) along with importing save data options, "Stronger New Game" (carries over your character levels, abilities, accessory slots, AP, player icons and partial PP catalogue) or "Level Reset" (does not carry over level, ability, AP).

According to one of those andriasang articles, Gilgamesh is SO RANDOM that even his EX mode has three forms.

Type 1: 8 Katanas

Type 2: 4 Polearm-type weapons (or at least 4 weapons with Two-Handed grip).

Type 3: 8 Random Weapons

Playing the demo some more, just for dem Rare Candies.

WoL's Wave of Light got revamped, it has way better tracking now and actually goes UP and DOWN along the terrain after an enemy. It's actually fun to spam now, lol. Especially if opponents like to get in your face and try to dodge over your head for a counterattack, since Wave of Light can actually go over your head. Plus in some situations it has multiple hitboxes.

Kain's Jump is godly, I'm just saying. Jump is both a Brave AND HP attack, so it's actually capable of destroying Assists all in one swoop.

--Level 1 Jump has "auto-dodge" that pretty much counters any attempt to get at Kain. Even if you miss, it's good bait for yet ANOTHER Level 1 Jump. The only characters that have a good chance of going after him are Tidus, Zidane, and Kuja due to their wide-movement attacks, otherwise he can counter most things by spamming Level 1 Jump almost constantly. Spear thrust HP Attack can throw them off.

--Level 2 Jump has a hitbox on startup which is designed to stun them into a total lockdown for the jump to finish. Also it has more range and better tracking though you have a little direction control. Best time to do Level 2 is the minute his feet start to glow. And even if he misses, he can counter with Level 1 Jump in most situations.

--Level 3 Jump has Level 2's Hit box, but it has a lot less tracking and you pretty much have to guide it in yourself. It's useful for uber long range, but he has some recovery if he misses, so it's a gamble compared to the others.

Next thing you know Cosmos is a boss herself (really, I hope that's the case).

Sephiroth's Hell's Gate (To the Promised Land) feels nerfed, but I can't tell for sure, seems you need a really good assist to use it properly, he has no upper hitbox on startup anymore, as an exchange for the nerf, it seems the "sudden stop" hitbox (the one that keeps you in the air) seems wider.

Believe it or not Sephiroth isn't that good when trying to do EX Revenge combos, he has one maybe two moves he can do well. Also he doesn't seem to do HP attacks after an assist except maybe Octaslash. Godspeed and Compressed Earth are still great projectiles though. Setting up his assists will take some serious planning, since he's very BP oriented.

Kefka is...well...he feels like an even longer-range Sephiroth, Havok Wing seems extremely buffed from what I remember as it can still hit you even if you dodge it slightly. Coupled with Ultimecia's HP Attack Assist he can pretty much go anywhere with his combos. I'm still no expert at proper use of his sneaky Ultima spell since it tends to go all over the place. Anyone who plays Nu might be more at home with Kefka.

Yeah you may be right, but I did promise Atlus I would import the game no matter what (I suck at importing since everything I do import gets localized, the only exception being Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+. I imported AH1 and it got picked, didn't bother with 2 and it didn't get picked up, got 3 and bam coming this Spring XD)

Wow 810MB! Wow that's insane, good thing I have a 4GB mem card and I'm picking up a retail copy = w= Can't wait to see the broadcast tonight, however I'm not too hyped for Chaos but it will be interesting to see alterations, if any, to his playstyle. Think he'll be scaled down!?

Because I just switched to this Catherine ava not even 2 days ago ; A; but I love Lighting and Prishe.

Yeah Chaos does indeed look pretty crazy, I bet everyone is gonna use him, he'll be the Sent of 012 XD (just like Warrior of Flight is the Captain America = w=)

The MAD videos are all pretty hype too (the 2nd runner up is a personal favorite because it did the exact idea I was thinking of while watching the first two) and after observing them EX Break looks deadly x.x Too bad they only had Prologus to work with...can't wait to see what people display when the game releases tomorrow :3

I'm assuming the "intro" is the beginning of the story where as the opening is what you first see when you pop in the game (or vice-versa). Now I'm wondering what the opening looks like o.o and I wouldn't mind watching the ending, but you look like it was an unfortunate run in for you lol
