Guilty Gear Wiki Improvements/Discussion

A friend showed me a horribly written article on Sol Badguy on Wiki and when I read it I just winced. She asked me if I would write a correct version of it, and with going on without writing for too long I decided to do it. I'm not a die-hard fan of Sol but at least I know the important parts that make him tick. I just need a few cold-hard facts about him that I may not know. There are a few out there that have the GG Bible and so on.

But here are a few that I know just to let you know I'm not a village idiot (I used to be blonde, though):

-He was turned into a Gear by That Man

-He has many references by Queen (Including Mr. Badguy)

-A few of his moved are named after a metal bands (I'll probably hunt a few down with darklyrics.com) Heck! I even found out Sin's flag has a metal reference!

-Aria should be mentioned, but only that she was a love-interest

-Gotta state something about Justice, especially the fact he defeated her. The other guy didn't.

-He created the Outrages (Were there 8 of them? I forgot how many.)

And so on...

If anyone has experience with Wiki, what subjects should I write? I don't want to follow or imitate the previous writer's entry. Can anyone show me a good example on there?

Haha, writing about Sol is like writing about the entire GG Saga...

Haha, Danceljoy is actually the one who asked me to rewrite the article. Small world, huh? I checked out the Q&A section earlier. Looks like I got lots more to read through. Not that I got anything better to do, anyway.

Another thing that the guy wrote in there that made me roll my eyes was that Fredie Mercury calls himself "Mr. Badguy." He has a song that's called Mr. Badguy. Yeesh...

Hello! I'm so happy you're here Aka_00xx! XD And YAY for keeping GG alive! I think you can at least look at the Blazblue wiki and use that as a reference for basic quality. Alos, the wiki already has a basic format, I believe the link is in Sin's page. But if possible, you can improve it to be as detailed as Dissidia or Soul Caliber.

It would be better if Alias, Fighting Style/Ability, Age, Birthplace, Affiliation etc. could be added instead of being just listed as character info.

There are three ways to do it:

1. Click Edit and write the article

2. Sign-up as a member of the wiki and Edit. This is better since you can keep track of your edits.

3. Dig old topics and copy Blade's or Suzaku's posts and do number 1 or 2.

Three ways not to do it:

1. Rape the English language

2. Don't ask the permission of the person who made the write-up like Blade or Suzaku.

3. Use TvTropes as a reference

As long as the info is correct, detailed and easy to understand, it'll be fine. Don't worry too much about the formatting. We can do that later

In you want to format yourself, the key is the "Heading" at the upper left corner of the edit box.

"Normal" is normal text

"Heading 2" is used for major parts like Story, Personality, Summary etc

"Heading 3" is for sub-areas under heading 2
